Yuko System
Yuko Hair Straigtening System at Compton Hair
If you yearn for poker straight hair everyday and can’t keep away from the daily ritual of flat irons and anti-frizz products then YUKO hair straightening system could be the answer to all your hair prayers. A pioneering hair restructuring technology from Japan, Yuko straightening system smoothes curly, dry, and unruly hair permanently with a revolutionary system that uses heat to restructure the hair’s protein bond.
The protein-based professional Yuko System uses a specially designed patented heat iron set at over 300° to seal in moisture once the cystine bond in the hair is cut off, allowing hair to be moulded into any shape.
The Process:
• The solution is applied directly onto dry hair section by section – in a similar way to how colour is applied
• This is then left for 15mins – during this time the solution breaks down the outer layer of the hair shaft, leaving the hair weak and stretchy like elastic
• The hair is washed removing the solution and a straightening serum is applied
• Hair is then ironed out section by section for the ultimate restructuring
• The result, straight, smooth, sleek and shiny hair every day!
Process can take between 4-6hours dependent on length and thickness of hair, results will last for 12-18months.
'This is an incredible straightening system from Japan, it is a long process but if you want poker straight hair everyday this is the system for you', says Zoltan, our Creative Director.
Compton Hair always insists on holding a consultation before a client commits to the system as Yuko is not for everyone. People with chemically treated hair cannot always have the service as it could leave the hair over processed. It is not recommended for pregnant women and they say that it does not work on Afro hair however Compton Hair has tested it with great results.
