Semi-permanent make-up is a type of extremely fine tattooing process that is gaining in popularity across the UK. It is used to give stronger, more defined brows, eye-lines, lip lines and full lips. It is especially useful if you use eye-liner, brow pencil or lip liner daily and want to save yourself time and hassle every morning. It can also be used to disguise scarring, fade tattoos, add a beauty spot and correct imperfections. Eye brows frame the face, if you have been a bit tweezer happy over a long period, semi permanent make-up can give you back your missing brows.
Sharon offer a consultation and patch test for £35 (please call 0207 240 3240 to book an appointment), at which she will talk you through the entire process (which is carried out under local anesthetic) perform a patch test , choose the correct shade of pigment and answer any questions you may have. From 2 hours after a patch test you can go ahead with a micro-pigmentation service. Sharon stocks the latest in after care sterilizing creams which reduce redness, moisturize, promote faster healing and help to relieve pain and scarring. The effects last from 2- 5 years and can be easily topped up. Each procedure can take from 1 - 2 hours, but will save you many, many hours over the course of the next few years.

BOTOX
Botox is the trade name for a highly purified preparation of botulinum toxin type A that is used to cosmetically remove wrinkles and treat some muscle conditions, such as spasms. It has been used by patients worldwide for more than 15 years.
Botox is mainly used to eliminate or reduce wrinkles in the forehead and eyebrow area as well as crow's feet around the eyes. Botox injections are administered into the muscles causing the frown lines, which makes them relax and drastically reduce or eliminate wrinkles. Injections are done using extremely thin needles which usually do not leave any marks, patients can resume normal activity straight away. There may be some bruising or mild swelling. The entire procedure usually takes around 10 minutes, with the effects becoming obvious from 3-10 days. The benefits of each treatment usually last from 3-6 months.
Botox can also be used to control excessive sweating and body odour, to slim down large calf muscles and to reduce square jaw lines.

DERMAL FILLERS
Ageing is inevitable. As we age we lose volume due to the breakdown of the facial support structure, collagen and elastin. The shape of our face changes, cheeks become hollow, lips thinner and naso-genian folds (creases from nose to lips) give one a tired, worn look. Smoothing out the folds and wrinkles or enhancing your lips with filler injections can make an enormous difference to one's appearance.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are made of crystal clear gel which resembles that which occurs naturally in the body. This gel holds water, hydrating and giving volume, leaving your face with a natural expression. The filler is non-permanent and is absorbed naturally over time. The lasting effects depend on the type of filler used and the structure of your skin. Other factors such as lifestyle (smoking and exposure to sun can shorten the effect); age and the degree of perfection demanded will also influence the life of the filler. The average durability of fillers is 9 - 18 months.
Collagen fillers have one additional advantage in that they encourage the integration of fibroblasts. Fibroblasts are cells which produce new collagen within the implant thus there is always some degree of permanent benefit after the implant is absorbed.
During consultation with Doctor Khan your expectations of the cosmetic effect will be discussed and the correct product identified e.g. fillers containing Hyaluronic acid or Collagen, fillers with a small particle used for fine lines or larger particles for deeper wrinkles, folds and lips.
Fillers are injected under the skin and can be mildly uncomfortable. A nerve block, similar to a dental injection is used when working close to the nose and lips because of sensitivity. Some injection-related reactions can occur, such as bruising, redness, swelling and tenderness at the injection site but clear after a day or two. A return to daily routine after treatment is normal.
