The Compton Hair Brazilian Blow Out

Here at Compton Hair & Beauty we use three types of Brazilian Blow Dry, our Compton Standard treatment (contains 0.16% formeldahyde), our Compton Diamond (contains 0.06% fomeldehyde) and our stongest Compton MAX (contains 0.019% formeldehyde)*.  These innovative processes transform hair by coating  and penetrating the hair shaft with hairs' primary building block, Keratin. This natural substance gives hair the ability to return to its original healthy, shiny, smooth state – humidity, rain or sweat will no longer have such a drastic effect on your hairstyle.  Your hair will be smoother, softer, shinier and have less frizz.  These treatments do have a straightening effect on the hair (Max having the strongest effect) however we do guarantee poker straight hair, X_Tenso Cerathermic or Yuko will give you that.

Unlike other products available on the market, such as relaxers or Japanese thermal conditioning, the Brazilian Blow Out has a straightening effect on the hair without damaging it and actually improves the texture.  This treatment can be used on all hair types, including chemically treated hair (coloured, permed, relaxed, highlighted and bleached).

The application takes anywhere from 1½ to 3 hours depending on the length and thickness of the hair. The results typically last two to four months and the treatment fades progressively as the hair is washed.  As clients repeat the treatment every few months, they will see a progressive improvement in the quality of the hair, with each subsequent treatment being more effective and longer lasting 
If you have any concerns or questions, we recommend a consultation with one of our technicians before your appointment. Consultations are free and usually take around 10 minutes.  During the consultation we also will perform a skin test if necessary to ensure you are not allergic to the solution, although the solution is not applied directly to your scalp.. Your technician will quote the cost and length of time the appointment will take.

You should use a shampoo specific to a Brazilian Blow Dry to get the optimum results and longevity of the treatment in your hair.  Using a typical supermarket shampoo will result in the treatment rapidly washing out.  You should also protect your hair when swimming (in chlorinated and sea water) and in strong sunlight.  We stock and recommend Kerastase Aqua Seal and Redken Waterwear which are ideal for this purpose.

*EU maximum permitted formeldhyde level is 0.2%.

We require a £50 deposit for hair straightening services as they do take a significant amount of time..  This deposit will be deducted from the total amount payable on the day.  Failure to attend your appointment or cancellations without 24 hours notice may result in the loss of your deposit.  If you wish to cancel your appointment with more than 24 hours notice there is a £1.50 charge (3%) to cover bank charges incurred processing your payment and refund.  Alternatively you can use your deposit for an alternative service or re-schedule your appointment.
